Rhea and Rod are high school sweethearts.
Their wedding is a celebration to mark their culmination of achieving their priorities. Having moved to Sacramento before returning to the South Bay, the couple are settling down to make their commitment official even though no one never doubted that this day will arrive eventually.
I was fortunate enough to document their engagement session at the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. It is a stellar public garden with expertly tended varieties of roses with a wonderful open space with an impressive masonry platform in the middle perfect for wedding ceremonies and a sparkling fountain where engagement sessions are common place.
Wedding portraits and preparation shots were taken in San Francisco. Beginning with the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, we stopped by the Palace of Fine Arts then moved to the Embarcadero waterfront to take a series of portraits at the Cupid's Span and the Justin Herman Plaza. Kudos to Rhea and Rod for keeping up with the tough walk through the city.
Ceremony and reception shots were at the Freedom Hall & Gardens in Santa Clara.
